Factions
Where do you belong?

Free Guard was formed when some of the members of Control broke away. They thought Control needed to step things up. Free Guard fights for the same cause as Control but their boundaries and limits are a bit more blurry. Sometimes, Free Guard goes a bit overboard. Their leaders are very strategic but the rest of them are known to be spontaneous and bit more wreckless. Free Guard focuses their attention on the transports of the Directorate. They have become the Robin Hood faction like Hero once was. This brings them into conflict with Directorate troops more often than the other factions. To protect their identities, they were dark clothes and masks whenever out on mission. Free Guard meets often when leaders send signals using lights. They use many meeting places, but most are along the roads in the fields to the north. Free Guard wants the Directorate out, but seem content with causing as much trouble as possible. Should the Imperator ever fall, Free Guard would be suited to go beyond the fence and attempt contact with other communities, if they exist. To FG, Hero is a true hero. They look up to him more than other factions. Because of this, it is less likely any of them know who Hero actually is. Free Guard and Control don't really agree on how things need to happen. History, however, and the connection to Control by the original Free Guard see them agree to disagree. Free Guard, like Control, use Shadow Wolves when they need assistance. They are less worried about the Wolve's modus operandi than Control, however. They see similarities between themselves and the Shadow Wolves but still don't totally trust them.

When the fence was finished and the actions of Hero were starting to become known, a small group of community members with military experience formed Control. They recruited in secret, but only those with similar values. They value certain aspects of the community and feel it is a good place with a poor leader. Today, Control is run by the children of the original members. They are exremely close and always look out for each other. They work like a military unit when on missions. All faction members are spread out through the community but Control often meets in the north where fence meets lake. They want a better life for all the community. They want the Imperator and the Directorate expelled. They want to bring a fair government to the community and they want to be that government. If anybody knows who Hero is, they would mostly likely be a member of Control. They disagree with Free Guard's antics and lack of desire to remove the Directorate, but they support how FG brings supplies to the community. Control does not fully trust Shadow Wolves because they don't know exactly what they want. They do know they can always trust them when they need help, though.

The Shadow Wolves are the newest of the factions. They consist of the newest members to the community. Many were welcomed in upon reaching the fence on their own, looking for refuge. While most people who enter the community in this manner simply take on their role and go about their business, the members of Shadow Wolves either witnessed or experienced the unjust treatment of the Directorate. Like the other factions, Shadow Wolves wants the Imperator out. Unlike the other factions, however, the desire of the Shadow Wolves after the fall of the Imperator is unknown. Both Free Guard and Control come to the Shadow Wolves when they need help. The Shadow Wolves are much more secretive than the other factions. When on mission, they cover their noses and mouths. They do not meet either. Instead, messages are sent by runners with directions. Both Control and Free Guard would benefit with a merger with Shadow Wolves, however, SW sees no use in such a merger. The Wolves focus their efforts on keeping the Imperator as uncomfortable as possible. They do this by getting into the Directorate facilities and causing trouble. They know of Hero, but are the least attached.
